BitChute lets you watch a video, but it does not give you a simple way to keep a copy. If you want to watch a clip offline, send it to a family member, or keep a copy of your own upload, you need the actual video file.

This guide shows you how to save a BitChute video as an MP4 on an iPhone, an Android phone, or a computer. It uses the free BitChute video downloader on Savedfast. It runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install and no account to make.

Only download videos you made or have permission to keep. There is a short note on that at the end.

What you need

  • The link to a public BitChute video.
  • Any browser: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
  • A few minutes and enough free space on your device.

Step 1: Copy the BitChute video link

On a phone

  1. Open the video in your browser or in the BitChute app.
  2. Tap Share and choose Copy link. If you do not see Share, tap the address bar and copy the address instead.

On a PC or Mac

  1. Open the video page on bitchute.com.
  2. Click the address bar and copy the full address (Ctrl+C, or Cmd+C on a Mac).

Use the normal video page link. It looks like bitchute.com/video/ followed by a short code. In our tests on Oct 24, 2026, embed-style links (with /embed/ in them) and old.bitchute.com links also worked. For more help, see how to find and copy a BitChute video link.

Step 2: Paste the link into Savedfast

  1. Go to the BitChute video downloader.
  2. Tap or click the box that says Paste a video URL, then paste your link. You can also tap the Paste button.
  3. Tap Download.

After a couple of seconds, the page shows the video’s title and thumbnail, plus a small table with Quality, Size, and a Download button.

Step 3: Save the MP4

  1. Tap Download on the row in the table.
  2. A short page says your download will start within a few seconds. Wait for it.
  3. The MP4 saves to your device.

Where to find the file

  • iPhone: In the Files app, in the Downloads folder. To move it into Photos, open the file, tap the share icon, and tap Save Video.
  • Android: In the Downloads folder. Your gallery app may show it in a Downloads album.
  • PC or Mac: In your browser’s download folder, usually Downloads.

What quality will you get?

In our tests with short public BitChute videos, the table showed one row, labelled “480p”, with the file type MP4 and the file size next to it (for example, a 35-second clip came to about 2.8 MB).

That 480p is the most you will get. In our tests, BitChute served its videos at 480p (the 35-second clip we saved was 854 by 480 pixels, which is standard definition), and no downloader can make a file sharper than the original. Be wary of sites that promise HD BitChute downloads.

In short, the downloader copies what BitChute has. It cannot make a video sharper than the original upload.

If it does not work

“Please enter a valid URL.” The box did not get a full link. Copy it again and make sure it starts with https://.

“We couldn’t get a video from this link.” Check these things:

  • The video must be public. Hidden, removed, or restricted videos will not load.
  • Use a link to one video (a /video/ or /embed/ link), not a channel or search page.
  • Check that you copied the whole link, with no missing characters at the end.

Nothing happens when you tap Download. Turn off a strict ad blocker for that tab, or try another browser.

The video plays in a new tab instead of saving. Use your browser’s menu on that tab (Share or Download) to save it.

Convert or trim the video afterwards

Most phones and computers play MP4 without trouble. If you need a different format, for example for an older device, a desktop converter can help. Movavi makes a program called Movavi Video Converter for changing a file’s format.

Keep your saved videos safe

Video files take up a lot of space, and phones get lost or reset. If you keep videos you own, back them up to a cloud folder so you can reach them from your phone or your computer. pCloud is one option.

Copyright and permission

BitChute videos belong to the people who made them. Saving a video for yourself is different from reposting it.

  • Download your own videos, or videos you have permission to save.
  • Do not re-upload someone else’s video as your own.
  • Ask the creator before you reuse a clip.
  • Follow BitChute’s terms and the copyright rules where you live.
