Saving a BitChute video on your phone is the easy part. The confusing part is that the file usually lands in a Downloads folder, not in your Photos or Gallery app, so it seems to disappear. This guide shows you how to save a BitChute video and then move it into your iPhone’s Photos app or your Android gallery, so you can watch it offline like any other clip.

We use the free BitChute video downloader on Savedfast. It works in your phone’s browser, with nothing to install and no account to make. If you want the general version for computers too, see how to download BitChute videos.

Only download videos you made or have permission to keep. There is a short note on that at the end.

Before you start

  • Make sure you have some free storage space. In our tests, a short BitChute clip was about half a megabyte, but longer videos can be much bigger.
  • Use Wi-Fi for long videos if your mobile data is limited.
  • Have the link to the video ready. If you are not sure how to copy it, see how to find a BitChute video link.

Part 1: Save a BitChute video to your iPhone’s Photos

Step 1: Download the MP4 in Safari

  1. Open the BitChute video and copy its link.
  2. In Safari, go to the Savedfast BitChute downloader.
  3. Paste the link into the box and tap Download.
  4. When the title and thumbnail appear, tap Download on the row in the table.
  5. If Safari asks whether you want to download the file, tap Download.

If the video starts playing instead, tap the share icon (a square with an arrow) and choose Save to Files.

Step 2: Find the file

  1. Tap the download icon (a circle with a down arrow) in Safari’s address bar to see recent downloads, or
  2. Open the Files app, tap Browse, and open the Downloads folder.

Step 3: Move it into Photos

  1. Tap the video file in Files to open it.
  2. Tap the share icon.
  3. Tap Save Video.

The video now appears in the Photos app, in Recents. You can delete the copy in Files afterwards to save space.

If “Save Video” is missing

This option only shows up for video files the iPhone recognises. Make sure the file name ends in .mp4. If the download was interrupted, the file may be incomplete, so delete it and download again.

Part 2: Save a BitChute video to your Android gallery

Android phones differ a little by brand, but the steps are much the same.

Step 1: Download the MP4 in Chrome

  1. Copy the BitChute video link.
  2. In Chrome, open the Savedfast BitChute downloader.
  3. Paste the link and tap Download.
  4. Tap Download on the row in the results table.

If the video plays in the browser instead, tap the three-dot menu and choose Download, or press and hold the video and choose Download video if offered.

Step 2: Find the file

  • Pull down the notification shade and tap the finished download, or
  • Open the Files, Files by Google, or My Files app and go to Downloads.

Step 3: See it in your gallery

On most Android phones, videos in the Downloads folder show up in the gallery automatically, often in an album called Downloads. Open Google Photos or your phone’s Gallery app and check the albums.

In Google Photos, you may need to tap Library (or Collections) and turn on backup or viewing for the Download folder.

If it does not appear, use your Files app to move the video into the DCIM or Movies folder. Most gallery apps scan those folders.

What quality to expect

In our tests, BitChute served its videos at 480p, and that is what you get in the MP4. On a phone screen, 480p usually looks clear. It will not look as sharp on a big TV. No tool can make it higher quality than the original, so be careful of sites that promise “HD” BitChute downloads.

Tips for watching offline

  • Rename the file to something you will recognise later. The default name is often just a code.
  • Make an album. In Photos or Google Photos, put your saved videos in one album so they are easy to find.
  • Check cloud backup. If your phone backs up photos to the cloud, large videos may use your cloud storage. Turn backup off for that album if you prefer.

FAQ

Do I need the BitChute app?

No. You can copy the link from the BitChute website in your browser. You also do not need a Savedfast account.

Why is the video in Files and not in Photos on my iPhone?

Safari saves downloads to the Files app. Use Save Video from the share menu to copy it into Photos, as shown above.

Can I save just the audio?

Not with our tool. It saves the full video as an MP4.

Does this work on an iPad or tablet?

Yes. The steps for iPad match the iPhone steps, and Android tablets work like Android phones.

The download failed. What now?

See our guide to fixing BitChute download problems for the most common causes and fixes.

A note on permission

Having a video in your gallery does not mean you own it. Only download videos you made, videos the creator allows people to download, or videos you have permission to keep. Do not re-upload other people’s work as your own.
