BitChute downloaders, including ours, need one thing from you: the right link. If the link is wrong or cut short, nothing else works. This guide shows you exactly where to find a BitChute video link on a phone and on a computer, what a good link looks like, and how to fix the most common link mistakes.

Once you have the link, you can paste it into the free BitChute video downloader on Savedfast to save the video as an MP4. For the full download walkthrough, see our guide on how to download BitChute videos.

Only download videos you made or have permission to keep. There is a short note on that at the end.

What a BitChute video link looks like

Every BitChute video has its own short code. A normal video link looks like this:

https://www.bitchute.com/video/abc123XYZ/

The part after /video/ is the video’s code. It is usually a mix of letters and numbers, about 12 characters long. As long as that code is in the link and complete, the link should work.

You may also see these versions. In our tests on Oct 24, 2026, the Savedfast tool accepted all of them for the same public video:

  • https://www.bitchute.com/video/CODE/ (the normal page link)
  • https://old.bitchute.com/video/CODE/ (BitChute’s older page style)
  • https://www.bitchute.com/embed/CODE/ (the link used when a video is embedded on another site)
  • A normal link with extra bits on the end, such as ?list=...

Links that will not work are links to a channel, a search page, a playlist page on its own, or the BitChute home page. These do not point to one single video.

How to copy the link on a computer

  1. Open the video on bitchute.com in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
  2. Wait for the video page to load fully.
  3. Click once in the address bar at the top of the browser. The whole address should turn blue.
  4. Press Ctrl+C (or Cmd+C on a Mac) to copy it.

Check that the address you copied has /video/ in it. If you are on a channel page, click the video’s title first so you land on its own page, then copy the address.

How to copy the link on iPhone or Android

In a mobile browser

  1. Open the video in Safari, Chrome, or any other browser.
  2. Tap the address bar at the top (on iPhone Safari it may be at the bottom).
  3. Tap and hold the address, then choose Copy. Some browsers show a copy icon instead.

With the Share button

  1. On the video page, look for a Share option, either on the page or in your browser’s menu.
  2. Tap Copy or Copy link.

If you are not sure what you copied, paste it into a notes app first and look at it. You should see bitchute.com and /video/ or /embed/ followed by the code.

How to get the link from an embedded video

Sometimes a BitChute video plays inside another website, such as a blog or a forum post. You can still find its link:

  • Look for the BitChute logo or title inside the player. Clicking it usually opens the video on bitchute.com, where you can copy the normal link.
  • On a computer, right-click the player. Some players show an option to copy the video address. If not, you can use the browser’s “View page source” option and search for bitchute.com/embed/. Copy the full address you find there.

An embed link has /embed/ instead of /video/. If a tool ever refuses an embed link, swap /embed/ for /video/ and keep the same code. For example, bitchute.com/embed/abc123XYZ/ becomes bitchute.com/video/abc123XYZ/.

Common link mistakes and how to fix them

The link is cut short

Messaging apps sometimes break long links across two lines, and only half gets copied. Open the link in a browser first, let the page load, and copy the address from there.

Extra text came along

If you copied a whole message, the link may have words or spaces before or after it. Delete everything except the address itself.

It is a channel or search link

Links with /channel/ or /search/ point to a list, not one video. Open the video you want and copy that page’s address.

The video is no longer public

If the video was removed, made private, or blocked in your country, no link will work. Open the link in a private or incognito window. If you cannot watch it there, a downloader cannot fetch it either.

Using the link in Savedfast

  1. Go to the BitChute video downloader.
  2. Paste the link into the box and tap Download.
  3. When the video’s title and thumbnail appear, tap Download on the row in the table.

The tool gives you an MP4 file. In our tests, BitChute videos came out at 480p, which is the quality BitChute itself served for those videos. The tool cannot make a video sharper than the original.

FAQ

Does the link need “www” in it?

No. In our tests, links with and without www, and links using old.bitchute.com, all worked as long as the video code was complete.

Can I paste a link with “/embed/” in it?

Yes. In our Oct 2026 tests, the Savedfast tool accepted embed links. If one ever fails, change /embed/ to /video/ and try again.

Can I paste a link to a whole channel?

No. The tool saves one video at a time, so it needs the link to a single video.

Why does the tool say it couldn’t get a video from my link?

Usually the link is incomplete, points to a list instead of one video, or the video is not public anymore. Check the link with the steps above and try again.

Do I need a BitChute account?

You do not need a Savedfast account. If a video can only be watched while logged in to BitChute, our tool may not be able to fetch it.

A note on permission

Saving a video does not give you the right to reuse it. Only download videos you made, videos the creator allows people to download, or videos you have permission to keep. Do not re-upload other people’s work as your own.
