How to download Twitter (X) videos on iPhone or Android
X (Twitter) lets you watch a video in the app. It does not always let you keep a copy.
You do not need a sketchy extra app. You can copy the post link and use a browser tool.
This uses Savedfast’s Twitter video downloader. Same steps on iPhone and Android.
Only save videos you own or have permission to save. Public posts work best. Protected accounts and some ads will not. Follow X’s rules and copyright law.
What you need
- The X app or x.com
- Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) — other browsers are fine
- The post link
No Savedfast account.
iPhone (Safari)
- 1. Open the post that has the video.
- 2. Tap the share arrow.
- 3. Tap Copy Link.
- 4. Open Safari and go to savedfast.com/twitter-video-download.
- 5. Tap the paste box, then Paste.
- 6. Tap Download.
- 7. If qualities appear, pick one.
- 8. When the file finishes, open Files. From there you can save to Photos if you want it in your camera roll.
If iOS blocks the download, try Desktop site off, or Chrome for iOS.
Android (Chrome)
- 1. Open the post in the X app.
- 2. Tap Share → Copy link.
- 3. Open Chrome. Go to savedfast.com/twitter-video-download.
- 4. Paste the link. Tap Download.
- 5. Pick a quality if asked.
- 6. The file shows in the download notification or the Files / Downloads app. Open it with your gallery if you want it with your other videos.
Computer (optional)
Same paste-and-download flow on a laptop. Useful if you want a bigger file and more disk space.
If it fails
- Use the post URL, not a screenshot.
- Confirm the video is public.
- Some live videos and Spaces are not a simple file.
- Copy the link again after the video has finished posting.
- Try a second browser.

After you save a clip, keep it in a folder you control. Do not republish someone else’s video as yours.
